John Mayer just announced his first-ever solo acoustic tour.
The tour has 19 stops in North America and Canada. The tour starts on March 11 in New Jersey and the last stop of the tour will be in Los Angeles on April 14. Tickets will go on sale on February 3 at 9 a.m. in the time zone the buyer is in. You can sign up for presale online.
“I knew one day I’d feel it in my heart to do an entire run of shows on my own again, just like those early days,” said the artist.
On the tour, he will be playing old songs and songs that haven’t been released. The songs will be played on acoustic and electric guitars and the piano.
Special guests Lizzy McAlpine and Alec Benjamin will be touring alongside Meyer, as well as a special guest that hasn’t been announced yet.
Known for his hit song “Your Body Is a Wonderland” off his 2001 debut album Room for Squares other well-known hits consist of Gravity, Waiting on the World to Change, and New Light.
The Grammy award winner’s solo tour will end just in time for the start of Dead and Company’s final tour, a band that he has been touring with since 2015. Dead and Company’s final tour begins on May 19 in Los Angeles.
“I began my career on stage with only a guitar and a microphone. A lot has changed since then. It took a couple of decades, but I feel it now. I’ll be playing old songs,” said the singer.
