On May 1, 2024, Centennial High School will be hosting an art show from 6 to 8 PM in the school’s cafeteria. Students who are enrolled in Ms. Sprenz’s Digital Illustration class were required to submit one of the pieces that they completed during the year. Jose Reynoso, a freshman attending Centennial, is expected to present an original digital art piece, “Beatrice the Dark Knight,” an original duck dressed in a Batman costume.
One of the struggles Reynoso encountered during this project was the limited amount of time they had to complete it before the school’s art show submission deadline. Reynoso enjoys this class and is expected to take it to the next level next school year. “Art is not for everyone,” he says. “I enjoy drawing scenery and still-life objects.” He’s not a big fan of deep meanings for a simple art piece; when he creates art, he just wants to create something.
Students and parents are invited to the event to support those who submitted a piece. Admission is free for all who wish to attend, and refreshments will also be provided.
