Here at Centennial High School, there are many diverse groups and activity systems that help students become more passionate, and spark up their interests. There are many different activities here on campus such as: Basketball, gardening club, DND, and even science-related clubs for students who wish to flourish within the STEM foundation. One of those clubs being Science Bowl. SB is a club full of intelligent minds and open curiosity about any scientific or mathematical properties.
Members within the Science Bowl club participate in complex and challenging science-related trivia questions. Biology, Chemistry, Earth/Space Science, Energy, Mathematics, and Physics-related questions are all reviewed and explored during meetings. Using these practices and activities to test their knowledge, Centennial SB members are striving to take part in the upcoming National Science Bowl Competition soon. The first science bowl of the year will take place sometime in February, with the date to be determined.
Centennial SB members make sure that there is a welcoming atmosphere full of teamwork and helping hands. Learning things as far as the complexity of atoms or even the unique qualities of stars within the universe. Giving room for new knowledge to be heard and less stress to be absorbed, Science Bowl is the place to be!
Student Fay Stofsky, also known as the President of Science Bowl stated “If you like science it’s a good opportunity to use some of that knowledge and refresh your skills.” SB is a laid back fun club where all students have the desire to learn more scientific knowledge a dash at a time.
