On October first Centennial High School’s Student Council starts the month of Socktober! Socktober is a fundraiser run here on campus run by Student Council. For the past five years, they have been collecting fresh socks and donating them.

This year, all the socks will go to Project 150, a nonprofit organization based in Las Vegas. Student Council Adviser, Mrs. Torres said,”Project 150 helps fellow high school students in need meet the challenges they face by connecting at the community level daily, delivering critically needed supplies to area high schools.”

“Our goal is to collect and donate 2024 socks to Project 105 all through October,” Torres explained, “Socktober isn’t a new thing at all! It’s been running for five years give or take.” Students who are interested in participating are encouraged to drop off fresh socks throughout October to room 402.
