Centennial High School may be a school full of all kinds of activities and sports, but why stop the fun there? Within our campus we allow students with the passion of acting and theater to present their abilities to other Centennials students and parents!
The main way we allow these bulldogs to shine is through entertaining shows or plays. Like our Senior Show that was hosted October 4th-5th in the school theater. Setting the mood with dimming lights and a fantastic stage crew to change the scenery of each act. This show goes into depth about a tragic comedy story. The story of toxic married couples in a soon to be radioactive bomb attack! Actors showed captivating expressions and ways of showing the exact plot of the story with intensity. Allowing the audience to laugh and be bewildered will all the sudden acts and comedic scenes. With catchy music playing to up the energy, the actors would bolt around the theater holding a bucket to receive any form of currency from the crowd. Giving the students a generous amount of donations really uplifted the rest of the show to go on even better than it started.
Mr. P one of the theater advisors said, “Theater is a form of art through expressionism, it also allows people to express empathy which in itself is a form of art.”
With the supportive audience and the captivating skill from our centennial actors, the Senior show was a worthwhile experience that would encourage other students to embrace their interests through expression and passion.
