On Senior Night, the Centennial Bulldogs brought an overwhelming sense of school spirit and determination, clinching a 3-0 victory over Desert Oasis. This win not only celebrated the seniors, but also snapped a three-game losing streak for the Bulldogs.
Centennial displayed growing dominance with each set, finishing with scores of 25-13, 25-12, and 25-9. The night was filled with excitement as senior team captains Mae Stoddard, Abby Vlaming, and Brooke Cummings expressed their pride in the team’s performance and school support. “We wanted to go out strong for our last home game,” said Stoddard. Vlaming added, “This was about showing what Centennial volleyball is all about.” Cummings reflected on the team’s journey, saying, “It’s been an amazing season, and we will continue it in regionals..”
Senior Brooke Cummings was a standout, achieving 13 digs and three aces, the latter being her highest since September. The Bulldogs were especially powerful from the service line, notching 12 aces and continuing a streak of at least five aces in 43 consecutive matches.
