National Honor Society hosted their yearly blood drive during the month of October. Each year students, teachers, and family members all come together to donate blood to those in need.
During the blood drive hosted by NHS, members were responsible for ensuring donors were comfortable throughout the process. They would make sure the environment was clean and safe for the blood drive, by doing things such as wiping down stations after each donation. Members were also responsible for signing in donors, and monitoring post participants. At the end of the drive, they would give small prizes to all who were willing to donate.
National Honor Society Advisor, Ms. Halverson said, “The annual blood drive is an example of how small acts can make a huge difference”.
Students and faculty members who missed the opportunity to donate are encouraged to attend the upcoming blood drive this spring! What may seem small can change lives for thousands of people in need.
