The Centennial Bulldogs cruised into the playoffs with a dominant 52-14 win over the Clark Chargers on Friday, November 8th, setting a new team record with a 38-point margin. The school was buzzing with excitement as the Bulldogs’ regular season success easily translated to the postseason. Coach Campbell praised the team’s effort, saying, “We’re playing our best football when it matters most.”
Star running back Khy Harris had a standout night, rushing for 164 yards on just 11 carries, pushing his season average to over 100 yards per game. Quarterback Ashton Hunt was also in top form, throwing for 261 yards and three touchdowns, completing 71.4% of his passes. Brogan Church remarked, “We’ve been grinding all season, and it’s showing.” Ethan Markos added, “This win gives us confidence, but we know there’s more work to do.”
The crowd was lively, fully behind the Bulldogs, who rushed for 211 yards in a game that marked their fourth consecutive match with at least 181 rushing yards. Jayden Thomas expressed the team’s mindset: “We’re ready for Desert Oasis. We won’t back down.” Centennial, now 5-5, will face Desert Oasis next Friday at 6:00 p.m., looking to continue their playoff run.
