Monday, November 18th through Friday, November 22nd, Centennial High School’s Psychology Club will be hosting a spirit week in honor of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.
Alzheimer’s is a type of disease that causes memory loss and dementia. This affects a person’s memory, thinking, and behavior. During the year of 1983, less than two million people were affected by this disease. Which is why President Ronald Reagan designated November as Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month.
The Spirit Week dress up days include Decades (20s, 50s, 80s) on Monday, Something from your childhood on Tuesday, Matching for Memory on Wednesday, Dress up as your favorite meme on Thursday, and Purple in honor of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month on Friday.
Tatum Candley, founder of Psychology club expresses her thoughts and feelings by stating, “I still believe our Spirit Week ideas turned out beautifully and truly capture what we’re trying to highlight.”
Please support the Psychology Club by participating in dressing up for the honor of our citizens who have been affected by this disease!
