The Centennial Bulldogs are heading to state after a dominant 34-7 victory over the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks on Friday, November 15th, marking their fifth consecutive win. The Bulldogs, now 6-5, showcased their offensive and defensive power to punch their ticket to the championship game. Khyren Harris led the charge with an explosive 195 rushing yards and a touchdown, including a stunning 72-yard run. “This opportunity means everything,” Harris said. “We’ve worked so hard, and it’s amazing to see it all pay off.”
Centennial’s ground game was unstoppable, racking up 268 rushing yards, a major improvement from their earlier season averages. Defensively, Ruben Ramirez and Robert Smith anchored the Bulldogs with eight sacks between them. Smith’s performance has become a winning indicator—Centennial remains undefeated in games where he tallies at least one sack.
Coach Campbell praised the team’s resilience and growth. “This group has come together at the right time. They’re beyond excited for state, and I couldn’t be prouder.” Quarterback Mason Garza added, “This is our dream coming true.” Ashton Hunt shared, “We’re grateful and ready to give it everything we’ve got.”
