Attention all athletes! Track and Field is starting up. On November 19th, after school in the library, the team held their first informational meeting, informing new and returning athletes about what to expect for this upcoming season. It was a chance to see new faces and reunite with old teammates, getting everyone excited for this winter season. Coaches discussed events, expenses, and the requirements to join the team.
I spoke with many athletes and coaches to hear their input about this year’s season. One of them was Meaha Bennet, a returning sophomore for the girls long distance group, who said, “I’m super hyped for this year’s season. I had a great time competing last year, so I’m ready to get better and have more fun this year!”
Coach Roy, the head coach of Centennial’s Track and Field Team, shared his thoughts on the upcoming season and stated, “I see many faces coming out this year, and I’m eager to work with every one of these athletes to get them where they want to be. We won the state championship last year, and I plan on winning it again.”
Everyone is expecting an amazing season for this year and is ready to claim the title of state champions once again. Intermurals start on December 3rd at 1:30 p.m. after school on the track. So, Bulldogs, join and be part of the best high school track and field team in Nevada!
