The Centennial Girls basketball team took on Palo Verde on Thursday, January 9th. This was only the second home game for Centennial of the 24-25 season, and our lady bulldogs put on a show!

At the beginning of the game, Sophomore Nation Williams started with scoring the first 5 points of the game. As Palo Verde struggled to score, at the end of the first quarter the score was 21-3. As the game continued, each player was scoring for Centennial. Sanai Branch was knocking down shots, and Ayla Williams was finishing hard at the rim! At halftime the score was 48-8. The Bulldogs continued to play the entire game with determination no matter the score. During the second half of the game, the Bulldogs were able to score 20 more points, while Palo Verde were only able to put up 8.

“I feel good, we played good, and we just have to keep playing together and growing as a team” said Sophmore, Nation Williams.

This fantastic teamwork led the Bulldogs to another home game win! The final score was 68-16.
