Centennial’s boys’ basketball team proved their dominance again Friday night, cruising to a 90-60 victory over Las Vegas. This marks the Bulldogs’ 12th consecutive win, further solidifying their top rank in Nevada.
Junior forward Brogan Church attributed the team’s success to their chemistry. “We trust each other on and off the court, and it shows in games like this,” he said. Guard Brandon Wilcox highlighted their defensive efforts. “Our coach always emphasizes defense, and it’s been a game-changer for us.” Zyon Harris, another standout, added, “We’ve worked hard to earn our spot at the top, and we’re not slowing down.”
Despite Las Vegas’ star guard Tayshaun Jackson putting up 25 points his fifth consecutive game scoring in double digits Centennial’s depth and teamwork proved too much.
Coach Whites praised the team’s focus and adaptability. “Every player contributes, and that’s what makes us special,” she said. “We respect every opponent, but we always aim to improve and play our best.” Centennial, now 19-1, looks ahead to their January 24th game against Durango.
