The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Club (FCCLA Club) at Centennial High school has been making waves over the past few years. FCCLA is a national organization that focuses on personal growth, leadership development, and career preparation through Family and Consumer Sciences education. But mostly, the FCCLA Club focuses on their yearly FCCLA Competitive events and career opportunities
Led by three teachers here at Centennial, T. Blanchard, J. Reuel, And M. Stevenson, The FCCLA CLub focuses on working on students' skills in a number of categories such as: Culinary, Fashion, Teaching and Training, and Early Childhood Development. They focus on working and perfecting these skills along with doing different types of events and competitions.
FCCLA’s Mission is “In our program students get the opportunity to reach out and help strengthen their communities, all while learning more about their program of choice. They are provided opportunities to compete in competitions that allow them to learn and grow, and earn scholarships and gain experience for college and future careers. We participate in conferences, community service, competitions, and we just have a great time hanging out together. Come join today and let us help you head towards new horizons!”
Any students interested in FCCLA and the opportunities that they provide are encouraged to attend a meeting. They meet every Thursday in Rooms 300, 302, And 310 from 1:15 – 2:15.
