On Wednesday, January 29th at 7:00 am, the 2025 Students of the Month were recognized in the theater. Over 30 students were recognized for their excellence among their peers. Family and friends were present to congratulate the students on their achievements. Each student received a certificate, as well as a plaque with their name to display their award.
One of the honorees, Shaelyn Winfrey, who was nominated by Dr. Brown in the subject area of Performing Arts stated, ” I was really proud of myself because I have played cello since the fifth grade, so finding out that the hard work people put in paid off makes me feel very well about myself.”
During the ceremony Centennial’s Principal, Mr. Wipperman, also reminded them, “It’s not about the grades. It’s about their attitude in class, how they help out their peers and how organized they are with their schoolwork. Those are qualities that make a student stand out.”
After the ceremony, students and their families celebrated together and enjoyed breakfast treats and refreshments provided by the school. Congratulations to all the Bulldogs of the Month who give more than 100 percent every time they step into the classroom!
