Big Win For The Bulldogs

On Saturday, February 1st, Centennial´s Varsity Girls basketball team faced Democracy Prep who was ranked No.1 in Nevada, before being defeated by Centennial. Centennial is now ranked No.1 in the state of Nevada with an 18-2 overall record and 11-0 league record leaving the Bulldogs undefeated in the division.
At the beginning of the game it was a rough start, with neither team being able to score. After a few minutes the scoring went back and forth, keeping the game close. First Quarter ended 11-13, with Democracy Prep leading. By halftime, Centennial was able to put up 18 more points, while Democracy put up 23 more points. This meant Democracy was in the lead. Though the other team had the lead, our bulldogs didn’t stop fighting. Because of their determination,
Third Quarter ended 44-40, with our Bulldogs in the lead. The game was certainly not over and our Bulldogs were ready to attain a win. After a long fight, the Bulldogs successfully secured a big win over Democracy Prep. The final score was 59-56.
