On April 29th, from 6:00pm-7:00pm in the theater, Centennial High School’s Choir Program performed their last concert of the 2024-2025 school year. This sure was a bittersweet success!
Each year Bass Clef, Treble Clef, Cadenza and Chamber all come together one last time to perform, and say goodbye to the seniors who will not be enrolling in choir again next year. This year’s end of the year concert theme was “Elements” including Air, Water, Fire, and Earth.
With Bass Clef performing Air, Treble Clef performing Water, Cadenza performing Fire and Chamber performing Earth, they put on quite the performance for the audience! At the end of the concert, all choirs came up on stage and sang one last song together for the seniors.
Hailey Graham, a student in Cadneza expresses her thoughts on the concert by stating, “During this concert I felt like everyone was very supportive and uplifting in rehearsal and the audience loved the songs that the choir picked out this year! I am in the choir council and at the very start of the year as a council, we put in ideas on what theme we should do, and then we vote on which one we think is the best. The one with the most votes was the theme for the concert. Ms.Skousen tells the classes about the theme, and each class chooses songs, learns the songs, and goes on from there.”
In conclusion, Centennial’s Choir program, with the help of their dedicated students and guidance from their teacher, Ms.Skousen, was able to make their end of the year concert one to remember. Go Bulldogs!
