The Centennial Bulldogs turned up the heat on Senior Night, delivering a powerhouse performance on the track while honoring the Class of 2025 with pride and emotion. With families, friends, and fans filling the stands, the energy was electric as the boys and girls teams both dominated the competition.
The boys team took home first place in every single event, 18 in total. Scoring an overwhelming 253 points. The girls team followed closely behind, racking up 249 points and showcasing the strength of their program. For the seniors, it wasn’t just about winning, it was about the journey they’ve taken together. “It felt amazing to compete at home one last time,” said senior Kennedy Hunter. “The energy was unreal, and I’m so proud of this team.”
Fellow senior Micheal Michelle Williamson shared how meaningful the night was. “Walking with my family meant everything. We’ve been grinding for years, it was special to feel seen,” she said. The Bulldogs have trained hard all season, but their performance on Senior Night was about more than just medals or times. “We came out here and showed what Centennial track is all about,” said senior Jashon Wright.
Head coach Roy praised the team’s leadership. “This group has set the tone for years to come. They’ve led with heart, discipline, and passion,” he said. Even rival coach Thomas Weller of Valley High was impressed. “Centennial’s team brought something special tonight,” he said. “You could see the passion and unity in every race.”
Senior Rufis Dismuke may have summed it up best: “We left it all on the track. This team is family.” As the sun set on a memorable evening, the Centennial Bulldogs walked off the field with pride, knowing they had not only won races but created lasting memories.
