On Monday, September 8th, Centennial’s Volleyball team faced Shadow Ridge here at Centennial. As both teams are top teams here in Nevada, this was a very competitive matchup. Centennial’s record has now been bumped up to 15-4, while Shadow Ridge is now 15-7. This leaves Centennial ranked number one, and Shadow Ridge ranked number four. This was an intense matchup, and Centennial fought hard for the win, leaving the score at 3-1
The environment was loud, and everyone was very interested in the game. In the first set, the game was already tied, leading to intense energy, on and off the court. It also went back and forth with both teams continuously scoring. This caused the set to go over 25. Winning this set was the Bulldogs, 30-28.
Continuing the game, Shadow Ridge won the next set, but after that, Centennial pulled through, winning all of the rallies in the last two sets. The score for the third set was 25-21, and the score for the last set was 25-20. After the game, I asked Lyla Tui, a Junior at Centennial, how it felt to

This was a very exciting and fun game for Centennial. Their next matchup is at Palo Verde on Wednesday, September 10th. The next home game for Centennial is on September 30 at 6:00.
