Let’s all have an amazing time at the best party of the year! On October 3rd at 8th period, the Best Buddies club at Centennial High School are hosting their Mixer Party, an event to bring the Best Buddies together, so they can do very fun activities together. Such as play board games, games between them, and generally just talk together! The theme of the party is Superheroes, so the Best Buddies at Centennial are allowed to come dress up as their favorite superhero for school!
The Best Buddies at Centennial High School is an organization that helps people build meaningful friendships and be part of their communities. They organize fun activities and programs to promote kindness, understanding, and connection among everyone.
I asked Ms. Kilton how she felt about this event. She said, “It is a good collaboration, and it is good to expose students with disabilities to the general population. It helps foster positive relationships between different groups of students, and they feel included with school activities.”
Best Buddies is a great example that even with our differences, we all want and need to feel included, Best Buddies aims to create a surrounding where kindness and friendship are for everyone, making a positive difference in the lives of many.
