On October 7th, at Shadow Ridge High School, the Lady Bulldogs pulled off a laid back 4-1 win against Shadow Ridge. The Bulldogs came out with energy, ready to play like always. Each team, you can tell, was fighting for every ball and every chance they had.
In the first half, the Bulldogs and Shadow kept a solid first 10 minutes. The game was back and forth. The Bulldogs kept getting in behind their defense, but were not as successful when the game started. Early in the first half, Shadow had gotten behind the defense and scored a goal, making it 1-0. After that happened, the Bulldogs started to be more on the attack, causing Liberty to defend most of the game. Later on, Junior Alexandra Miranda had taken the shot. The keeper had lost contact with the ball, causing a loose ball on the goal line to roll into the net, making it 1-1. The second goal for the Bulldogs came up soon, from Sophomore Kynlee Brown, assisting a ball to Sophomore Alayna Malloy, scoring, making it 2-1 at half.
The second half then starts. Liberty came out more aggressively and was really trying to score. This put a hard hit on the Bulldogs all game, but they still managed to score another goal near the end of the half. Alayna Malloy had a ball sent in from Alexandra Miranda, sending a ball from a free kick. Making the score 3-1. Near the end of the game, Senior Julianna Donnelly scored another goal by tapping it right into the corner, making the game 4-1. I asked Julianne Donnelly, a Senior here at Centennial, what her insight on the game was.
“ The girls maintained a great energy throughout the whole game, and worked diligently as a team to create and capitalize on scoring opportunities.”
Centennials new record is now 7-4, now celebrating our seniors on senior night at home against the Coronado Cougars on 10/13/25. Hope to see you there!
